Why sleep is important?

The body needs plenty of rest and sleep plays an important role, in maintaining good physical health. We feel a lot better when we get 7 hours of uninterrupted sleep. The body needs to heal and repair the cardiovascular system. Lack of sleep is linked to high blood pressure, irregular heartbeat, other heart related diseases and stroke. Sleep deprivation also makes us feel tired, uninspired, impatient and grumpy. This leads to problems with learning and retaining information. Loosing sleep from time to time can lower the bodies defences and result in frequent infections and contribute to being prone to other diseases. Sleep allows the brain to remember information. It enhances our brain and improves problem solving, decision making and creativity. Get a good nights sleep by making the temperature in your bedroom cool. Tests have revealed sleeping on pure cotton sheets is an answer to eliminating harmful diseases.
